First I want to announce the winner of the spot in my Bright Ideas class…. congrats to Juliee! I’ll see you in class….
And thanks to everyone who is following the class pinterest board. I’ll keep adding bits and pieces to it as we go.
I also wanted to share yet another sneak with you. This one I did for challenge #6.
I used some of the new Sundrifter from Studio Calico on this page. It’s such a fun collection!
And finally, check out the bonus cut files that the crazy talented Kinsey Wilson designed exclusively for the class!
I can’t get over how fun these are! The second one is actually a set of three cut files that are meant to be layered and misted with different colors to achieve a bokeh effect. How genius is that?! Here’s what Kinsey made with it:
Sooooo… class starts on the 1st of February and registration ENDS JAN. 31st! Hope to see you on the class message boards!

why would we want to ask for our country to be displayed on a world map when it should already be there!!!

Mandy and Danice – Kinsey designed the 7 continents cut to be an abstract accent – more of an overview of the world. There are other islands beyond NZ missing (Great Britian, Ireland, Japan, Madagascar), and any country will be designed as its own cut file via a request on the class message board.

Sounds like someone needs to go back to geography to add in those countries (and dont forget Tasmania too) – its pretty rude to call it a “world accent” when countries ARE missing, isn’t it closer to being “Continent accents”??? Its a great way to make those people feel unimportant, we still have money in NZ (and Great Britain, Ireland and all the other Islands that are obviously too hard to include) and by saying we are “special requests” seems ridiculous and pretty darn rude!, I think our money needs to stay away from companies that think Islands are unimportant and an afterthought.
