Studio Calico’s Double Scoop!

The September kit at SC is live (for subscribers… non subbers can purchase at midnight tonight!)!  I used the main scrapbooking kit, the main Project Life kit, and two scrapbook add ons: Sprinkles and Licorice.  Be sure to check out the other add ons… especially the PL card ones.  I wish I had ordered some of those!

Yorktown:  This is my main kit only  layout this month.  To be honest… I re-did it a couple times and still couldn’t get it quite right.  Sigh.  I love the frame patterned paper though and the colors in that ombre paper I backed them with.   yorktown1 yorktown2

Be True, Be You:  I LOVE the Lindsay Letters stamp in the Cotton Candy Stamp Add On.  It’s just gorgeous!  I used the diamond outline stamp here on various patterned papers to make my own background design.

Boo:  Each time SC offers a Halloween themed add on, I grab it!  I just think Halloween stuff is so fun!  I used the letter cut files with my Silhouette to create the large title and then filled in the “o”s with pics.

Happy Halloween:  Another Halloween page, this time using Catherine’s awesome template.  Love how you just drop your photo in and it looks fabulous!  I added some of the vellum tape and that super fun alpha roller stamp from the PL kit.

Have a great day!

CHA-S 2013: Studio Calico’s MAGICAL and STORY TIME

It’s time to reveal the newest collections from Studio Calico at the trade show in Las Vegas!  Always such a fun time in the crafting world…and so wish I was there in person and not just represented in paper.  😉 Oh well… at least I was able to enjoy working with two of the new lines last week!

This is MAGICAL!  It seems lots of manufacturers release a holiday themed line at the summer show, so what makes SC’s special?  I think the color combo is fun with grey and pale blue mixed in.  And my favorite item of this line is the kraft tag pack.  I used those tags on all my pages…including the non-Christmas ones!  Love them! Here’s the booth sample page I created with Magical:

Hard to remember my littlest being that little!  🙂

And speaking of little ones… STORY TIME is going to be a must have collection for anyone scrapbooking baby’s first year or really any sweet childhood memories.  I created one baby page with it and one more generic “kid” page.

Check both lines out in the shop!   🙂

Valley High Studio Calico’s July Scrapbooking Kit

Checking in from vacation to quickly post my pages for the month!  This month’s kit is called Valley High… and I got the Jennifer and Molly add ons as well as the Project Life Kit.    Doesn’t this kit just scream summer?!  🙂

Front Row Sneak Peeks! (Studio Calico’s February Kit)

This month I picked up the main kit, Front Row, along with Big Screen, Matinee, and the Project Life kit.  I think my favorite was a tie between Matinee and the PL kit.  The cards in the PL kit are just so cute this month!  I actually used them on one of my 12×12 layouts because I just couldn’t wait until I got around to my monthly PL spread.  🙂  This first sneak is from my “main kit only” page:seaturtle2

This page has a couple of those fab cards from the PL kit.  Rocket ship cut with my Cameo:hersheypark2

And this last one gave those black glitter thickers a work out! 😉  LOVE those!agirlandherdog2Happy Thursday!

Thankful for…

so many things!  🙂  We have a tradition at my parents’ house of going around the table and sharing our “3 thankfuls” as we enjoy our Thanksgiving feast.  I remember when I was young that it was sometimes sort of hard to come up with three different things to share.  Now I find it hard to list ONLY 3 things.  I am feeling so very blessed.  One of those many things I am thankful for… scrapbooking.  It sounds cheesy perhaps, but this hobby has opened many opportunities and friendships for me and for that I am thankful.  Speaking of scrapbooking, who would like some early sneaks of 34th Street, the SC December kit?! I worked with the main kit, Penn Station, and Kris Kringle (my fave!) I also used many of the digi items in the shop and my beloved Cameo machine.  Seriously…if you are looking for a Christmas gift idea… this would be a fabulous one!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Darling Dear Blog Hop!

Thanks for stopping by for today’s Darling Dear Blog Hop!  Studio Calico’s newest collection is just gorgeous and we thought it’d be fun to celebrate its arrival with a blog party.  🙂 Make sure to check out the SC blog for a list of all the participants on the hop AND get some inspirational pdf’s and digital goodies that coordinate!  Here’s my layout:

My Three Sons:  I created my title with my Cameo.  Everything else is from the Darling Dear collection.  The veneer and stamp set are especially awesome. 😉

Thanks for stopping by…and happy election day! 🙂
